After two years of digital shows, on September 21 to 27 fashion is back in Milan (almost entirely) in presence, with the Spring/Summer 2022 women’s collection. The tight schedule of Milano Fashion Week includes 173 appointments, of which 63 fashion shows (42 in presence and 23 digital), 75 presentations (56 in presence) and 33 meetings (4 digital).
The inauguration, which will be attended by Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana) and representatives of the municipal administration, will be held on September 22. Mr. Capasa said that “this edition of the Milan Fashion Week Women’s Collection will mark a moment of rebirth“.
In addition to seeking a rebirth, or better a return to normality, Milano Fashion Week aims to outline the beginning of a new era, starting with the project promoted by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, the Sustainable Fashion Awards, entirely dedicated to the theme of sustainability in the fashion industry.
Multicultural evolution, integration, gender diversity and equal opportunities in the fashion world are just some of the numerous topics that will be addressed over the course of the seven days.
