The collaboration between Italy and Tunisia in the art and fashion sector is strengthening. Open Art Week (Oaw), the international independent art week, whose title this year is “My future”, will be staged from 5 November to 3 December. This year, the curators have chosen to critically and creatively reshape on web platforms and social networks the initiatives of the 2020 edition.

The event, as reported by the website “8Colonne”, was realized thanks to the support of and partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis and D&B Consulting, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Tunis, the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia, the Tunisian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Olimpias Group, Ied-European Institute of Design and Esmod Tunisie.

Fashion Breaks is one of the two projects presented this year: it is an exhibition of fashion video clips made by Italian and Tunisian designers under 30, curated in tandem by Duccio Bosio, coordinator of the Saint Laurent Couture Institute, and by Gaia Toschi, director of Oaw.

The second project dedicated to fashion by Oaw 2020 is Fashion Conversations: until December 1st, every Tuesday at 8.30 pm Duccio Bosio moderates a series of 5 online meetings featuring five professionals working in the most prestigious international fashion brands (Ungaro, Prada, Saint-Laurent, Chanel): Massimiliano Giornetti (artistic director), Cristina Cordero (pattern maker), Enrico Leonardi (product manager), Enrico Leonardi (buyer), Caterina Migliore (merchandiser and lecturer at the IED-Istituto Europeo di Design partner of the initiative), Massimiliano de Marianis (buyer).

The promotion of Italian culture involves also food: here you can find an article about the Italian Cuisine Week in Tunisia.
