On the 28th of October, at the Italian Embassy in Santiago, the deal signed between ITA – Italian Trade Agency – and falabella.com – the largest platform for online commerce in Latin-America, was presented to the Chilean public.

The activity had already started on the 19th of October, through a webinar that had the aim to present the project to Italian companies that could find the initiative interesting.
The programme was officially launched by the Italian Ambassador in Chile, Mauro Battocchi, and by the President of the above-mentioned platform, Carlo Solari.
The purpose of the deal is to promote Made in Italy products, by creating on Linio.com – the marketplace of falabella.com – a space reserved to Italian retailers.
In this area, that takes the name of “Italian Products Digital Pavillion” it will be possible to find different types of products, belonging to different departments: clothing and accessories, footwear and leather goods, cosmetics, jewellery, sports items and, for the fans of Italian and Mediterranean style, there is the furniture and house appliances sector.

Falabella.com offers to Italian companies the opportunity to expand their trade in other countries of Latin America such as Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru and Argentina.
The director of the ITA Office in Santiago, Alessandra Marcarino, stated that the programme needs a minimum of 30 participants in order to begin. The companies will be carefully selected, receiving a 15% fee on sales and appropriate assistance for the research of local importers.
ITA will also fund the advertising campaign, that has the aim of promoting sales.
